A Myrtle Beach Tradition, Restored
The course dates to 1975, when it opened as Cap’n Cain Golf. Its ship-shaped clubhouse, lighthouse, and captain became familiar sights on South Kings Highway.
Newly restored for 2026 as Captain Myrtle Mini Golf, the classic 18-hole course is ready for a new generation of Myrtle Beach memories. The course is locally owned and family-run, about 2.5 miles from Myrtle Beach International Airport and close to the beach, downtown attractions, restaurants, and vacation lodging.

A great old course that was brought back to life with new owners. As they continue to update the course, I am sure more vacationers will partake in this miniature golf course. There were some hard holes and some easy. The new greens definitely make it a little more challenging compared to other courses throughout Myrtle Beach. Great job bringing this old school course back to life.

The owner was so incredibly nice and the course was very well maintained! You can tell they really like enjoy their jobs here! Had a great time with friends tonight! We haven’t played in a while so our scores weren’t very good but the courses were easy enough for everyone! Multiple different colored balls for each of us to have one! Definitely would recommend! Family friendly environment!

Amazing and clean mini golf place! The theme was so cute, and the workers were very friendly. They also had a large selection of snacks and treats available for purchase in case you get hungry while you’re there. Definitely a fun experience and would recommend! There were cute baby ducks in the ponds near the holes.
